Otto Yost, Jr.

Mr. Otto Yost, Jr., age 87, of Mio, passed away Saturday, October 11, 2008 at Bay Regional Medical Center in Bay City.
Visitation Tuesday, October 14, 2008 from 4-9 P.M. at the Lashley Funeral Home, Mio, and again from 10 A.M. until funeral service at 11 A.M. on Wednesday, October 15, 2008 at the Mio Baptist Church with Pastor Glynn McMorris officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery.
Mr. Yost was born on June 1, 1921 to Otto H. and Mary (Peaka) Yost, Sr. in Detroit, Michigan. As a young child, the family moved to Mio. He served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII. Otto married Ruth Mae (Williamson) Yost on June 29, 1946, and they moved to Mio that same year. Otto worked with his father in the plumbing and heating business; and later with his sons in Yost Plumbing and Heating. Otto was a Charter Member of the Mio Baptist Church. He enjoyed hunting, and model trains.
Mr. Yost is survived by his sons: Randy (Edieth) Yost of Indian River, Ml; Mark (Jan) Yost of Spring Hill, FL; and Tim (Delma) Yost of Mio; his ""Adopted Son"" Tom Huber of Mio; his sister-in-law June Yost of Canton, Ml; 10 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren and 2 nephews & their families: David and Daniel Yost. Otto was preceded in death by his wife Ruth M. Yost in 1992; and his brothers: Chester and Quinten.
