Mr. Orvil C. Wright, 74, of Mio, died Tuesday, May 8th, 2007 while in the company of family members at his home.
Visitation Thursday 4-9 PM. at The Lashley Funeral Home, Mio.
Funeral Services at The Lashley Funeral Home at 1:00 PM on Friday, May 11th, with Pastor Robert Coen officiating.
Interment of Ashes at a later date at Kittle Cemetery , Mio
Orvil was born on July 4, 1932 in Fairview to the late Wilbur S. & Mary C. (Rich) Wright. He served his Country in the U.S. Army as a Sgt. in the Korean War. He retired as an assembly worker for General Motors-Buick Plant in Flint, after 30 years service. He moved back to Mio in 1983.
Surviving are his wife Cecile M. Wright; Daughters: Dianna (Scott) Peters of Mio, Debra (Rick) Ross of Davidson and Katherine Wright of Mio; Sons: Orvil (Cynthia) Wright, Jr. of Mio, Ronald Wright of Fairview and Terry Wright of Lewiston; Sister Linda; Brothers: Ed, John and Jim. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, and 27 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and granddaughter: Jennifer May Wright.
Orvil enjoyed hunting and mowing lawns with his daughter in law. He will be remembered as a loving Husband, Father, Grandfather and Friend ""Big Pa"".
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Helping Hands, 335 E. Houghton Drive, West Branch, MI 48661.
