Mr. John Dawson

Mr. John Darson, age 85, of Mio, passed away Friday July 25, 2008 at his home.
Visitation Monday, July 28, 2008 from 11 A.M. to 1 P.M. at Lashley Funeral Home, Mio until Funeral Services at 1 P.M. with Pastor Daniel Stoneback of the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church of Rose City officiating, assisted by Heddy Alcock. Interment at Oakview Cemetery in Royal Oak, Ml.
Mr. Darson was born on September 16, 1922 to John and Helen (Smith) Darson in Detroit, Ml. He graduated from Clawson High School in 1941, and married his high school sweetheart, Margaret Mouch, on February 2, 1943 in Texas. John served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII in Europe. John and Margaret settled in Clawson where he worked as a shipping clerk for the Railroad. Following their retirement in 1982, they moved to Mio. John was a member of the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Rose City for many years.
Mr. Darson is survived by his wife of 65 years, Margaret (Mouch) Darson; his sister-in-law Alice Darson of Clawson, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Frank Darson.
Donations may be made to the American Heart Association in John's memory. These arrangements were entrusted to Lashley Funeral Home of Mio, Michigan.
