Michael D. Waters Sr.

Michael Dean Waters, Sr., age 62, of Mio, passed away Monday, February 8, 2010, at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City. In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, February 14, 2010, at 1:00 P.M. at the Perry V.F.W. Post, Perry, MI with V.F.W. members officiating.
Michael was born on December 25, 1947 in Lansing, MI to Robert and Marie Waters, and was raised n Perry, MI. He married Sherry Lee (Jones) on June 26, 1965 in Shaftsburg, MI. The couple lived in Perry, where Mike worked as a plumber. He served his country in the U.S. Army. The couple later settled in Mio in 1986. Mike attended Kirtland Community College, where he attained an Associateâ??s Degree in Computer Sciences. He later taught pottery there for 15 years. Mike enjoyed fishing; and will be remembered always as a ""Jack of All Trades"".
Michael is survived by his wife Sherry of Mio; his children: Lisa (Billy) Tatria of Roscommon, MI; Michael (Angeline) Waters, Jr. of Canton, OH; and Christopher (Amanda) Waters of Louisville, KY; his brother Tim (Kim) Waters of Detroit, MI; his sister Cindy (Monty) Bennett of Ionia, MI; and 10 grandchildren.
