Michael Thomas Mccaffrey

Michael T. McCaffrey, age 68 of Fairview, Michigan, passed away at his home on Tuesday, August 2, 2016.
Michael was born in California on March 6, 1948 to Charles and Anne (White) McCaffrey. The family moved to Dearborn Heights, Michigan. Michael served his country in the US Marine Corps in the Vietnam War. Returning home, he worked as a pipefitter for Power Process Piping in Plymouth, MI, retiring in 2014. He and his wife Becky moved to Fairview, Michigan in August of 2015. Michael enjoyed fishing and woodworking.
Michael is survived by his wife Becky of Fairview, MI; his children: Michael (Kelly) McCaffrey of Garden City, MI; Tim (Stephanie) McCaffrey of Wayne, MI; Chris McCaffrey of Canton, MI; and Amy McCaffrey of Detroit, MI; his sister Judy Bierbaum of Wixom, MI; his brother Terry (Sally) McCaffrey of Westland, MI; 8 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and his dog Sadie. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation on Friday, August 5, 2016 from 11 AM – 1 PM at the Lashley Funeral Home, Mio, Michigan. Interment to follow at Fairview Cemetery, Fairview, Michigan with military honors offered by the Luzerne American Legion Post #162.
