Michael August Hampton

Michael August Hampton, age 58 of Mio, Michigan, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, Sept 20, 2022.
Michael was born in Bay City, Michigan on June 17, 1964 to Roy and Susan (Graber) Hampton. He started his career as a small engine mechanic shortly after high school and has been the owner of Mike’s Small Engine Repair for more than 20 years. Michael enjoyed riding his motorcycle, camping, fishing, and spending time with family, friends, and his dogs Lizzy and Badger.
Michael is survived by his children Jennifer Hampton, Michelle (John) Hengy, and Kyle (Ashly) Hampton; his grandchildren Brianna, Makayla, and Zoey Cox; his girlfriend Theresa Buttigieg; his brothers Roy Hampton, Tim Ayliffe and Sam (Rebecca) Miller; and his two dogs Lizzy and Badger. He was preceded in death by his mother Susan Jane Miller and beloved dog Mindy.
In accordance with his wishes, Mike will be cremated. Mike’s family will be remembering him with a Celebration of Life luncheon at Kittle Hall on Saturday, Oct 22, 2022 from 1- 4 PM.
