Michael D. Baisley

Michael David Baisley, age 49, of Mio, passed away unexpectedly, Tuesday, February 9, 2010, at his home. Visitation Thursday, February 11, 2010 from 6-9 P.M. at Lashley Funeral Home, Mio, MI; and again from 10 A.M. until the time of Funeral Services at 12 Noon on Saturday, February 13, 2010 at St. Martin Lutheran Church, Port Huron, MI, with Pastor William Austin officiating. Interment at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Fort Gratiot, MI.
Mike was born on December 16, 1960 in Port Huron and graduated from Port Huron Central. Mike moved to Mio 16 years ago from Port Huron. He was the owner and operator of the Scenic Riverwood Tavern in McKinley and was a member of the Mio Moose Lodge #1035 and the Comins Eagles Aerie # 3544. He enjoyed hunting, bowling, and playing golf.
Surviving are his parents: James & Bonnie Baisley of Port Huron, MI; and Linda Sullivan of Port Huron, MI; his sons: Michael Baisley of Mio, MI; and Daniel Baisley of Clarkston, MI and their mother Julie Baisley of Austin, TX; his brothers and sisters: Arthur (Patti) Baisley of Sapulpa, OK; James (Annette) Baisley of Hudson, FL; Catherine (Steve) Rose of Port Huron, MI; Carol (Richard) Gonzales of Port Huron, MI; Timothy (Karen) Baisley of Hampton, VA; and Kenneth (Natalie) Baisley of Marysville, MI. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles; his special goddaughter Shelby Gonzales; his girlfriend Terri Kettler; his in-laws Dean & Emma Gamble; his brother-in-law Terry Gamble; and his sister-in-law Deborah (Derek) Strehl. Mike was preceded in death by his son Nicholas on February 14, 1991.
