Mavis J. Mcgregor

Mavis J. McGregor, age 78, of Mio, passed away Friday, March 12, 2010, at Bay Regional Medical Center. Visitation Sunday, March 14, 2010 from 1-4 and from 6-9 PM at Lashley Funeral Home, Mio, and again from 10 A.M. until the time of Funeral Service at 11 A.M. on Monday, March 15, 2010 at the Mio New Hope Assembly of God Church, Mio, Ml with Pastor Russell Bowman officiating. Interment at Luzerne Cemetery, Mio, Ml.
Mavis was born on April 25,1931 in Chesaning, Michigan to James Wilbur and Anna (Steele) Whaley. She was raised there, and moved to Mio in the 1950's. She married Timothy McGregor on October 19, 1968 in Flint, Ml. Mavis and Timothy were founding members of the New Hope Assembly of God Church in Mio. where her life was lived in service to her Lord. She will be remembered as a very loving and caring wife, mother and grandmother.
Mavis is survived by her husband Timothy of Mio; her children: Charlene (nee Mrazik) (Doug) Nowlin of Mio; Bobbi Jean (nee Schanck) (Ron) Martin of Houghton Lake, Ml; and Russell D. Schanck of Luzerne; 8 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; and 1 expected great-great grandchild She was preceded in death by her parents, her son James Mrazik, and her sister Jane Newingham.
