Mary Mildred (Millie) Sharp, of Rockledge, Florida, formerly of Mio, Michigan, went to be with the Lord on May 26th, surrounded by her loving family.
Millie was born on January 22, 1928, to Leo and Mary Hunt in Austin Township, Sanilac County, Michigan.
She was a devoted and active member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Mio during her years in Michigan. During that time, Millie and her beloved husband, Glenn owned and operated Sharp Sales and Service. In 1975, Millie and Glenn relocated to Texas, where she became a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and was actively involved with the VFW. In 2016, she moved to Rockledge, Florida, where she joined Faith Viera Lutheran Church and continued her faith-filled life.
Millie is lovingly remembered by her children: Marilyn (Jim) Rang, May Schramm, Mike McCallum, and Marsha (Mike) Taylor. She was a proud grandmother to thirteen grandchildren, thirty-three great-grandchildren, and seven great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Glenn, with whom she shared 66 wonderful years of marriage, as well as her parents, siblings—Jim, Jeanette, Curtis, Bob, Leatha, and her son-in-law, Kenneth Schramm.
In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 23, 2025, at Comins Community Church. Family visitation will take place at the church from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., followed by the service at 11:00 a.m. Interment of ashes will take place at Comins Cemetery immediately following the service.
