Mary Lou Prentice

Mary Lou Prentice, age 85 of Mio, Michigan, passed away at her home on Sunday, July 26, 2026.

Mary was born in Jackson, Michigan on September 16, 1940 to Ralph & Geraldine (Dutton) Addison, Jr. She was a 21-year resident of Gilletts Lake in Jackson, Michigan. In her younger years, Mary had loved water skiing and ice skating. In the past few years, Mary loved to color in adult coloring books, having saved many pages of beautiful pictures that she had colored. She also loved watching the judge shows on TV or anything involving drama. She will be dearly missed by her family.

Mary is survived by her children: Terry J. Prentice, Carey R. Prentice, Robin R. Welser, and Jeffrey L. Prentice (Tracy Hartwell); her sisters: Joyce E. Evans and Sue Ann Dickinson; her grandchildren: Aaron, Cody & Judy Prentice; Ashley Welser; Jesse & Jon Prentice; Eric, Wesley D. & Jacob Prentice, Brendan Prentice, Shane Hartwell & Trent Holmes; and 5 great-grandchildren in Lewiston, Idaho. She was preceded in death by her parents Geraldine & Ralph Addison, her brothers Albert Mark & Ralph “Butch” Addison, and her son Wesley D. Prentice, Jr.

In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place.
