Mary Bugg

Mrs. Mary J. Bugg, age 81, of Fairview, formerly of Mio, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 13, 2009 at Bay Regional Medical Center in Bay City, MI.
Visitation Friday, June 19, 2009 from 5-7 PM at Lashley Funeral Home, Mio, and from 10 AM until Funeral Service on Saturday, June 20, 2009 at 11 AM at the Fairview Mennonite Church, Fairview, with Pastor Eldon Krider officiating. Interment follows at Kittle Cemetery, Mio.
Mary was born on December 26, 1927 in South Bend, IN to Selzus and Emma (Fenn) Yoder. She grew up in Peru, IN. During WWII, she worked as a ""Rosie the Riveter"" in an airplane plant. She married Leland Bugg in 1948 in Curran, MI. The couple lived in Mio, where Mary was a homemaker who had also worked as a waitress at Killianâ??s Kitchen and at Walkerâ??s Restaurant. Mary was a member of the Fairview Mennonite Church. She volunteered at The Home at AuSable Valley Community, working Bingo there. She enjoyed sewing, playing ""Upwords"", and collecting bells.
Mary is survived by her children: Mark (Angi) Bugg of Torrance, CA; and Richard (Annie) Bugg of Encino, CA; her sisters: Betty Coon of Peru, IN and Janet Hill of South Bend, IN; 8 grandchildren: Dawn, Marriane, Brian, Arthur, Jessica, Coleen, Eric, and Michelle; 9 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her son Steven Bugg in 1962; her husband Leland in 1984, and her daughter Karen Jones in 1988. Mary was also preceded in death by her sisters Caroline and Marcella, and her brother Robert.
