Mary Ann Bontrager

Mary Ann Bontrager, age 85, of West Kittle Road, Mio, MI, died at 11:40 PM on Monday, January 16, 2012 at Mecosta Medical Center in Big Rapids, Michigan.Mary Ann was born on February 15, 1926 in Goshen, Indiana to Owen J. and Sarah (Lehman) Miller. On February 15, 1948, she married Joe M. Bontrager.  She was a homemaker and a member of the old order Amish church.  Mary Ann is survived by her husband Joe; her sons: Vernon (Lizzie Kuhns) Bontrager of Mio, MI; Ernest (Lois Miller) Bontrager of Belle Center, OH; Marion (Clara Yoder) Bontrager of Mio, MI; and Leonard (Barbara Schmucker) Bontrager of Leroy, MI; her daughters:  Bertha (Joseph) Yoder of Mio, MI; Wilma (John) Coblentz of Shipshewana, IN; and Elnora (Alva) Hochstetler of Leroy, MI; 47 grandchildren and 41 great grandchildren.  Also surviving her are 2 brothers and 3 sisters.Visitation Wednesday, January 18th from 6:30 PM - 9:00 PM.and Thursday, January 19th from 1:00 PM - 9:00 PM.at the Marion Bontrager Resudence, 287 N. Galbraith Road, Mio, MI.Funeral Services at Marion Bontrager Residence, Mio, Michigan, at 9:30 AM on Friday, January 20th,  with Joe K. Yoder, Sam L. Miller and Jerald L. Bontrager officiating. Interment at Amish Kittle Cemetery Mio, Michigan. Arrangements by Lashley Funeral Home, Mio.
