Martha Lorraine Cordell

Martha Lorraine Cordell, age 81, of Mio / West Branch areas, passed away Monday, February 13, 2023 at The Villa in Rose City.
Martha was born in Pontiac MI March 30, 1941 to Lina Phebe (Wice) and Lloyd Ferdinand Cordell. She is the eldest of nine siblings Hank (Deb) Cordell, Helen Sudden (Richard Sudden, deceased), George Cordell (deceased), James Cordell, Gilbert (Kathy) Cordell, Vern (Kaitlin) Cordell, Bonnie Mitchell, and Faye Rainey. Three children Tina (Tom) Brooks of Grayling MI, Candy (Raul) Bazan of Venango NE, Terrie (Terry) Berger of Mio MI and her long time companion Norman Schmidt of Damon MI. and his family. Five grandchildren Kevin (Danielle) Latreille, Cameron (Danielle) Hiser, Ashley Berger, Gabby Bazan and Jeff Sund, Ten great-grandchildren Elrik, Mira, and Uriel Hiser; Lillian, Riley, Makenzee, Teegan and Maesyn Latreille; Peyton Kloha and Sophie Sund, also numerous nieces and nephews.
In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, February 16, 2023 at The Lashley Funeral Home in Mio, MI with Reverend Paula Timm-Potrykus officiating. Interment of ashes at a later date at Kittle Cemetery, Mio, MI.
Martha will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
