Margaret Eleanor ""Maggie"" or ""Mess"" Schwartz, 76, of Mio, went to live with the Lord Wednesday, May 27th, 2009 at her residence with her family by her side.
Visitation on Friday, May 29, 2009 from 5-8 P.M. at Lashley Funeral Home, Mio. Funeral Services at Lashley Funeral Home, Mio, MI, at 3:00 P.M. on Saturday, May 30th, with Rev. Glynn McMorris of the Mio Baptist Church officiating. In accordance with Margaret's wishes, cremation will follow the funeral service with interment of ashes at a later date at Kittle Cemetery, Mio, Michigan.
Maggie was a life long resident of Oscoda County; born May 14, 1933, the daughter of the late George Charles Rich and Clara Lovina Wright. She is also preceded in death by her son Charles Norman Schwartz; her brother Walter George Rich; her son-in-law Steven Lee Paddock and her grandson Caleb Max Paddock.
Most will remember Maggie through her many years working at Walker's; bowling; ""Meals on Wheels""; or maybe at Killians Kitchen.
Margaret is survived by her children: Claude Daniel Schwartz of Mio, Michigan.,:Steve Edwin and Deb (Brandt) Schwartz of Lafayette, Colorado.,Leona Margaret Schwartz-Paddock of Covington, Indiana; Chester Allen and Suzanne (Green) Schwartz of St. Marys, Georgia., Norman Cecil Schwartz of Mio, Michigan.Also surviving Margaret are 15 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
