Margaret L. Maisano

Margaret L. "Margie" Maisano, age 58 of Mio, Michigan, passed away at MidMichigan Medical Center in West Branch, Michigan on Sunday, May 9, 2021.

Margaret was born in Detroit, Michigan on August 10, 1962 to William and Wilma (Salogga) Brandt. She married David Maisano and the couple moved to Mio in 1992. Margaret worked as a cook for several area restaurants, including The Paddle Inn where she worked since 1998. She enjoyed flower gardening, baking, listening to classic rock music, and spending time with family and friends.

Margaret is survived by her fiancé Carey Prentice of Mio, MI; her children: Lauren Maisano of Bay City, MI; Jesse Prentice of Mio, MI; and Jon Prentice also of Mio, MI; her step-daughter Crystal Maisano-Roy of St. Clair Shores, MI; her sisters: Pam Thompson of East China, MI and Betsy (Craig) Millard of Clarkston, MI; 2 step-grandchildren; 3 nephews; 1 niece, 1 grandniece, and several grandnephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband David Maisano, and her brother Ricky Brandt.

Visitation on Thursday, May 13, 2021 from 4 – 8 PM at the Lashley Funeral Home, Mio, MI. Due to continuing COVID-19 restrictions, we are limited to 25 persons in the building for the Funeral Services on Friday, May 14, 2021 at 11 AM at Lashley Funeral Home with Chaplain James Slasinski officiating. Interment at Mentor Township Cemetery, Mio, Michigan.
