Louise L. Wcisel, age 90 of Hale, Michigan, formerly of Mio, Michigan, passed away in Oscoda, Michigan on Friday, September 18, 2020.

Louise was born in Flint, Michigan on September 24, 1929 to Christopher and Effie (Bridges) Samples.

She married Peter C. Stephen on August 31, 1946. Following their separation, she married Florian Wcisel on April 20, 1974. The couple lived in Flint, MI, then moved to Mio, MI in the late 1980’s where they owned and operated Lakewood Campground. Louise was also active with Florian in Mio Construction. She had been a member of the Mio New Hope Assembly of God Church and had also attended Mio Baptist Church. Louise was active on Church Boards and activities. She enjoyed crocheting, gardening, and spending time with her family.

Louise is survived by her children: Linda (Bobby) Christian of Hale, MI; Jeannette (Ronald) Larsen of Whittemore, MI; Susanne (Richard) Menerey of Grayling, MI; and Ray Wcisel (Russell Reitz) of Mio, MI; her stepchildren: Peggy, Dennis, Dale, Jill, and Scott; 11 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; and her nieces Debbie and Starla. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Florian, her daughter Pamela Spencer, her stepson Michael, and her sister Bernice Brooks.

Visitation on Monday, September 21, 2020 from 10 – 11 AM at the Mio Baptist Church, Mio, MI, with Funeral Services at 11 AM with Pastor Glynn McMorris officiating. Interment will follow at Kittle Cemetery, Mio, Michigan.

Memorial donations may be directed to Wounded Soldiers or your local police department.
