Lorene S. Troyer

Lorene Sally (Oaks) Troyer, 89, of Fairview, Michigan passed away peacefully at her home on September 15, 2026 following a lengthy illness. She was born to Charles and Mary Oaks on December 6, 1936 in Fairview, Michigan.

She married Orlo Marvin Troyer on January 2, 1965. To this union were born three children: Marilyn (Glen) Slaubaugh of Rugby, ND; Edward Troyer of Fairview, MI; and Barry (Laurene) Troyer of Fairview, MI.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Mary Oaks; her sister, Leola (Walter) Kauffman; brothers: Erie Oaks and Vernon Oaks.

She is survived by her husband, Orlo, three children, 12 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and two sisters-in-law, Sovilla Oaks and Betsy Oaks.

Visitation will be held Sunday, September 20, 2026 at Lashley Funeral Home, Mio, MI from 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM.

Funeral will be at the Mennonite Church in Fairview on Monday, September 21, 2026 at 10:00 AM and interment at the Fairview Cemetery.
