Lizzie Alene Pfaff

Lizzie Alene Pfaff, age 82 of Comins, Michigan, passed away at her home on Monday, November 13, 2017.

Alene was born in Beaverdam, North Carolina on November 23, 1934 to William and Lizzie Cartrette. She married Frank "Duke" Pfaff on February 10, 1957 in Bennettsville, South Carolina. Alene had worked as a phone operator, a sales clerk for J.L. Hudson, and as a school noon aide for Kenbrook Schools. Following Duke’s retirement, the couple moved to Comins, MI. Alene was a Benefit Member of the Comins Eagles Aerie #3544. She enjoyed working puzzles, feeding and watching the birds, gardening and spending time with her friends.

Alene is survived by her children: Glenn Paul (Peggy) Pfaff of Metamora, MI and Sandra Jane Pfaff (Roger Marks) 0f Whitmore Lake, MI; and 2 grandchildren: Kristen Lee Pfaff and Kari Lynn (Ryan) Robbins; Niece Linda Rae (Steven) Cunningham; Great nieces, Lisa (Rich) Harbaugh and Jennifer (Tony) Pierce; and many great great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Frank "Duke" Pfaff, her brothers: Rayford, Troy, Coy, and William; and her sisters: Kathleen Yopp and Doretha Cartrette.

Visitation on Monday, November 20, 2017 from 4 – 8 PM at the Lashley Funeral Home, Mio, Michigan; and again on Tuesday, November 21, 2017 from 10 AM until the Funeral Service at 11 AM at the Comins Community Church with Pastor Kevin Salsbury officiating. Interment to follow at Fairview Cemetery, Fairview, Michigan.
