Linda Louise Putnam

Linda L Putnam, age 79 of East Tawas, Michigan, formerly of Lupton, Michigan, passed away on Tuesday, May 14, 2019.

Linda was born in Detroit, Michigan on March 19, 1940 to Edward and Dorothy Louise (Clemens) Ford. She married Richard Putnam at the Jefferson Avenue Baptist Church in Detroit on September 3, 1960. Linda worked as a secretary for Smith Hague Brokerage Firm in Detroit, MI; Fast Cut Tool in Warren, MI; Putnam Products; and retired from Balzers Tool in Harrison Twp., MI. The couple settled in Lupton, MI in 2006 from Kimball Twp., MI. Linda was a member of the Mio Baptist Church. She taught Sunday School, singing in the choir. She enjoyed knitting, cooking, baking, crossword puzzles, archery, bowling and gardening. She also enjoyed and spending time with her grandchildren. Linda was known for her dinner rolls, and was always ready to serve and help others.

Linda is survived by her husband Richard Putnam of Lupton, MI; her children: Cheryl (David) Beyer of Midland, MI; Craig (Lori) Putnam of Windsor, Ontario; and Keith (Becky) Putnam of Macomb, MI; 8 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild; and 1 expected great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents Edward and Dorothy Louise Ford, and 2 brothers.

Visitation on Friday, May 17, 2019 from 6 – 8 PM at the Lashley Funeral Home, Mio, MI, and again on Saturday, May 18, 2019 from 12 Noon until Funeral Services at 1 PM at the Mio Baptist Church, Mio, MI with Pastor Glynn McMorris officiating. Interment at Lane Heights Cemetery, Lupton, Michigan.
