Linda Kay Chaney

Linda Kay Chaney, age 78 of Mio, Michigan, passed away at her home on Monday, April 13, 2026.

Linda was born in Pontiac, Michigan on May 19, 1947 to Orville and Barbara (Ridgeway) Sayles. She married Alfred Chaney on December 23, 1975 in Clarksville, Tennessee. The couple retired to the family property in Mio in 2015 from Redwood, New York, where Linda had owned and operated a bookstore. While living in New York, Linda had been active in riding and showing horses. She enjoyed crocheting, painting, and playing Pinochle.

Linda is survived by her husband Al; her children: Donald Brecht and Jennifer Carroll; 6 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and her daughter Jessica Fuller.

In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place. No services are planned.
