Lillian Leona Duggan, age 98, of Luzerne, passed away Wednesday, August 25, 2010, at Tendercare Nursing Facility in Tawas City, MI.
Lillian was born in Haskell, Arkansas, on April 9, 1912 to Charles N. and Agnes F. (Owings) Masters. She moved to Michigan and married her husband Jack in Detroit in 1940. She had vacationed in the Luzerne area, and later moved to Luzerne. She worked for an oil refinery in West Branch. Lillian had attended the Emma Lowrey Congregational Church in Luzerne, playing organ and singing as a member of the choir. She always loved music; she had enjoyed playing organ and piano. She shared her love of playing piano with a Senior Housing Center in Warren, MI.
Lillian is survived by her daughter Sandra (Clark) Leavoy of South Branch, MI; her grandchildren: Kim (Cliff) Bliss, Kerry (Jeff) Miller and Kelly Leavoy; and her great grandchildren: Tyler, Jessie, and Emma Bliss and Hadley and Jack Miller. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Jack Duggan; and her 3 sisters: Neva McGee, Lucille Farkas, and Rosalie Masters.
Graveside services will be held at Luzerne Cemetery at 2 PM on Sunday, August 29, 2010 with Pastor Russell Bowman officiating.
