Levi Hershberger

Mr. Levi Hershberger, age 84, of Fairview, died Saturday, May 26th, 2007 at The Home at AuSable Valley Community.
Visitation Wednesday, May 30, 2007 from 11:00 AM until the time of service at 2:00 PM at The Lashley Funeral Home with Pastor Eldon Krider officiating. Cremation will follow the funeral. Interment of ashes will be held privately at a later date at Kittle Cemetery.
Levi was born on April 3, 1923 in Mio to the late Eli & Delila (Miller) Hershberger. He retired from the Merchant Marines in 1997 after 25 years of service. He was a member of The Comins Eagles and enjoyed baseball, hunting, fishing and traveling.
Surviving are his daughters: Sherri Hershberger of Fort Worth, TX and Rita (Dave) Chester of Pottstown, PA; sons: Mark Hershberger (Jinny Slinkard) and Dennis (Cindy) Hershberger all of Flint; sisters: Anna Weaver of Fairview and Elizabeth Bills of Arkansas. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, and 9 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Levi was preceded in death by his parents, sister Mary and her husband Frank Miller and brothers in law: Joseph Weaver and Howard Bills.
