Leonard J. Luckey, age 65, entered into his eternal peace on March 28, 2016 at his home in Mio, Michigan.
Leonard was born in Saginaw, Michigan on May 14, 1950 to Leonard and Bernice (Frick) Luckey. He lived in Saginaw, where he worked for General Motors Gray Iron Plant, retiring after 30 years of service. He remained a lifetime member of the UAW. Leonard moved to Mio in 1996, and married Donna on July 31, 2002. Together they ran the Pinewood Motel and the Northern View Motel in Mio. Leonard enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing, listening to music, playing Canasta, and watching sports, including the Detroit Tigers & Lions and NASCAR.
Leonard is survived by his wife Donna Luckey of Mio, MI; four children: Jaime (Tony) Paro of Folsom, CA; Kelly (Darren) Geraghty of Comstock Park, MI; Ryan Varnum of Pataskala, OH; and Matthew Luckey of Mio, MI; 3 stepchildren: Bethany Reinbold (Dan Frary) of Mio, MI; Brittany Baker of Mio, MI; and John Baker II of Mio, MI; 2 sisters: Cheryl (Robert) Reis of Alanson, MI and Debbie (Thomas) Parks of Montrose, MI; and 10 grandchildren. He is also survived by his special kind & generous friends: Diana Huepenbecker, Loren (Benny) Bennett, Jeff Stout, Patrick Campbell, and Dennis Allore; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Rodney Luckey.
In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
