Leona M. Willobee

Leona M. Willobee, age 72, of Luzerne, passed away Tuesday, November 24, 2009, at her home. Visitation on Saturday, November 28, 2009 from 11 AM â?? 1 PM at Mio Church of God with Funeral Service at 1PM with Pastor Roger Green officiating. Interment at Luzerne Cemetery.
Leona was born on June 20, 1937 to James and Mamie (Sands) Bruce in Pontiac, Michigan. She moved to Luzerne when she was in her 20â??s. She enjoyed playing cards, crocheting, crafts, going to the flea markets, and travelling. She will be remembered for her loving dedication to her family.
Leona is survived by her 7 children: Carolyn Phillips of Zephyrhills, FL; Judy Bruce of Luzerne, MI; Allen (Roberta) Bruce of Mio, MI; Sue Willobee of DeWitt, IA; Robin Bousselot of DeWitt, IA; Amy Willobee of Luzerne, MI; and Holly Bresette of Mio, MI; her brother Jack Bruce of Orlando, FL and her sister Persis Doty of Zephyrhills, FL. She will also be missed by 17 grandchildren; and 32 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Jack Willobee, and her grandson Lorne McDowell.
