Leo H. Welzin

Leo H. Welzin, age 66 of Fairview, Michigan, passed away at his home on Thursday, January 18, 2018.

Leo was born in Saginaw, Michigan on January 28, 1951 to Henry and Geraldine (Matson) Welzin. He worked as a Millwright at GM-Saginaw Steering Gear and Metal Iron in Saginaw. He retired to Fairview 12 years ago. Leo volunteered with Habitat for Humanity, and had enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Leo is survived by his siblings: Nancy L. Shaffer of Las Vegas, NV; Beverly J. Hoffman of Alma, MI; Larry F. Welzin of Saginaw, MI; Gary R. Welzin of Detroit, MI; Gerald B. Welzin of Saginaw, MI; and Ronald O. Welzin of Fairview, MI. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brothers: Fred A. Welzin and Wayne J. Welzin.

In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date in the Spring.
