Lena Lucille Paris

Lena Lucille Paris, age 91, passed away peacefully at her home in Mio, Michigan on Tuesday December 24, 2024. After a short illness.

Lena was a Graduate of Oakland University (‘76) with a Bachelor of Science in Guidance and Counseling and Certified in Addiction Counseling.  Spring-boarding off her membership in AA since March 1970, Lena touched the lives of many through her work as a counselor. She received certification as a Master Gardener from Michigan State University.

Lena and her husband lived in Southfield, Michigan and were seasonal residents in Mio since 1977. They moved to Mio permanently in 2014 and remained very much engaged with friends and family in other locations. Her door was always open and never too busy for others.

She is survived by her loving husband Walter Paris Sr., her children Colleen
(Mike deceased) Brinkman, Maureen (Darryl) Watson, Hugh (Laurie) Charteris, Philip (Wendy) Charteris, Wally(Tatia) Paris,15 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Services on Friday, January 3, 2025 1:00 PM at Saint Mary Catholic Church, Mio, Michigan 48647, With Rev. Santiago Hoyumpa officiating.
