Leah P. Fox

Mrs. Leah Pearl Fox, age 95 of Fairview, went to be with her Lord on Saturday, October 27, 2007 at the Home at AuSable Valley Community. Visitation Tuesday, October 30, 2007 at Fairview Mennonite Church from 9-11 AM with Funeral Services at 11AM with Pastors Virgil Hershberger and David Barker officiating. Interment at Fairview Cemetery.
Mrs. Fox was born to John & Lizzie (Troyer) Yoder on January 16, 1912 in Clarksville, Ml. Prior to her marriage, Mrs. Fox worked in Midland as a housekeeper and nanny to several families and also helped her Dad with farming. She married Orin Leonard Fox on December 23, 1939. After marriage, they moved to St. Louis, Ml and lived there for six years. To this union were born three children: Doris, Willard and Marilyn. After a house fire in 1945, the family moved back to the farm in Fairview and farmed. After the children were grown, Mrs. Fox started quilting for her children and grandchildren, the church and others. She made many quilts and comforters for others, and sold several as well. Mrs. Fox was a member of Fairview Mennonite Church.
Mrs. Fox is survived by her children: Doris Elliott of Carson City, Ml; Will (Candy) Fox of Fairview, Ml; and Marilyn Bush of Columbia Falls, MT; seven grandchildren: Kevin (Syretha) Elliott, Larry (Melinda) Elliott, Garry (Teresa) Elliott, Misti (Reed) Cordero, Michael Reed, Melanie Bush and Anita (Fox) Kososki; her sister Clara Neuhauser; 14 great grandchildren and 1 great- great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, 2 sisters, 1 brother, a son-in-law Earl Elliott and a daughter-in-law Marie Fox.
