Mr. Lawrence B. Kingery, age 83 of Comins, Michigan, passed away at his home on Friday, August 9, 2013.Larry was born in Detroit, Michigan on June 27, 1930 to Victor and Leanore (Burr) Kingery.  He served his country in the US Army during the Korean War and graduated from the University of Detroit with a Bachelorâ??s Degree in Business Management.  He was Vice-President in charge of the Trust Department at Ann Arbor Bank & Trust (now known as PNC Bank), retiring in 1982.  He moved to Comins upon retirement, and served as a substitute teacher for 10 years for both Fairview and Mio Schools.  Lawrence was an active member of St. Mary Catholic Church of Mio, where he served as a cantor for many years.  He also was a 4th Degree member of  of the Knights of Columbus St. Maryâ??s Assembly  # 2371; the Comins Eagles Aerie # 3544; the VFW Post # 4126 and American Legion Post # 348.Surviving are his wife of 60 years Olga of Comins, MI; his daughters: Kimberly Ann (Kenneth) Clark of Fairview, MI; and Krystal Ann Kingery of Lewiston, MI; his grandchildren: Christine, John, Jesse, Josh, Justin, Amber, and Cole; his great-grandchildren: Charlayna, Jaela, Isiah, Isabelle, Kaitlyn, Isaac, and Chace; and several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter Kathleen Ann Heusinkvelt; 2 brothers and 1 sister.Visitation will be held on Monday, August 12, 2013 from 3-9 PM at Lashley Funeral Home, Mio, MI, with a Vigil Service and K of C 4th Degree service and rosary beginning at 7:00 PM. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Mary Catholic Church by Fr. Santiago Hoyumpa on Tuesday, August 13, 2013 at 10:00 AM with a period of viewing prior to the Mass beginning at 9:00AM.  Interment will follow at Clinton Township Cemetery, Comins, Michigan, with Military Honors offered by the Mio VFW and Mio American Legion Posts.Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society in honor of his daughter Kathleen.Arrangements by Lashley Funeral Home, Mio, MI.
