Lawrence ""Richard"" Baxmann
Mr. Lawrence Richard Baxmann, 64, of Mio, Michigan passed away Thursday, September 11th, 2008 at his home. Visitation Sunday 1:00 PM - 9:00 PM at Lashley Funeral Home with a prayer vigil service at 7:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at at St. Mary Catholic Church, Mio, MI, at 11:00 AM on Monday, September 15th, with Father Raymond Cotter officiating. In accordance with his wishes, cremation will follow the services.
He was born in Highland Park to the late Charles George Washington and Margaret (Bertwhistle) Baxmann. He was raised in the Detroit area. He worked as a Security guard/ Fire marshal at Chrysler for 30 Years, retiring December 31, 1999 and then moved to Mio, Michigan.
Surviving are his wife Doreen A. (Plotzke) Baxmann, two daughters Amy (Greg) Wojtalik of Grosse Pointe Woods, Michigan and Sarah (Robert) Smith of Mio, Michigan; a son Paul (Jaclyn) Baxmann of Roseville, Michigan; two sisters, Marsha (Ty) Damon and Charlene Fick. He is also survived by 6 grand children Rebekah, Samantha, Zachary, Ethan, Nikolas, and Andrew. Lawrence is preceded in death by his parents, brother Kurt William Baxmann, and two grand daughters Madison and Makenzi.
