Laura Nell Bratton

Mrs. Laura Nell Bratton, age 83, of Rose City, formerly of Comins, passeed away Wednesday, February 6th, 2008 at Bortz Health Care of Rose City.
Visitation Saturday,February 9, 2008, at The Lashley Funeral Home, Mio, MI from 10 AM until the time of Services at 1:00 PM with Pastor Marcel Lamb, of Mio United Methodist Church officiating. Interment at Fairview Cemetery.
Laura was born on January 2, 1925 in Murray, KY to William L. & Maudie P. (Key) Hart. She married James C. Bratton on Sept. 13, 1941 in Charleston, MO. The couple lived in Detroit and moved to Comins in 1979, following James' retirement from the City of Detroit Police Department in 1975. She had attended The Comins Mennonite Church and was a member of Mio Chapter #528 O.E.S., Wild Turkey Federation, and Comins Eagles Aeries #3544.
Surviving are her sons: William Floyd (Suzanne) Bratton and James Ronald Paula) Bratton; 6 grandchildren Jim, Tim Shawn, Craig, Bill and Sarah; 8 great grand children: Joshua, Madison, Miranda, Hunter, Brandon, Taylor, Austyn and Devon and 1 sister: Maudell Lassiter.
Laura was preceded in death by her parents, her husband James, and brothers Adolph, Prince and Mitchell Hart.
