Mr. Larry Dean Sherwood, 66, of Mio died Sunday, November 26th, 2006 at Munson Medical Center, Traverse City, Michigan.
Visitation is Thursday 10:00 until the time of services at 1:00 PM. at Lashley Funeral Home, Mio, MI. on Thursday November 30th, with Pastor Norm Oberlin officiating. In accordance with his wishes cremation will follow the service.
He was born in Midland, MI. on May 28, 1940 to the late Earl Sherwood and Charlotte Fern (Mearing) Perry. He had moved to Mio as a Child and worked for General Motors Corp. as a Tool & Die Maker. He enjoyed wild life painting, hunting and fishing. Larry was also a member of the Comins Eagles Aeries #3544 and the Mio Moose Lodge #1035.
He is survived by His Daughter: Shirley Love of Gaylord, Sons: Charles (Chau) Sherwood of San Jose, CA, Sennett Sherwood of Mio and their Mother Dona Cook of Mio, Sisters: Mary Jane (Robert) Major, Doreen (Dave) Walker, Annie (Ronald) Kowalski, Marian (Timothy) Pheil, Brothers: James (Marcia) Sherwood, Ben Sherwood, William Sherwood, Five Grandchildren: Nicholas, Jessica, Lenora, Samantha, and Eben, and One Great Grandchild Kendra. Larry is Preceded in death by his Parents and one Grandchild Angel Fawn Love.
