Larry C. Bickford

Mr. Larry Charles Bickford, age 73, of Mio, MI, formerly of Allen Park, Michigan, passed away Saturday, July 2, 2011 at The Home at AuSable Valley Community in Fairview.
Larry was born on April 28, 1938 in Lincoln Park, Michigan to Arnold and Lydia (Hartman) Bickford.  He served his country in the US Army.  He was a retired truck driver for the Independent Biscuit Company .  In 1990, he and Sally moved to Mio from Allen Park, Michigan.
Surviving are his wife of 53 years, Sally Bickford; his children:  Traci Nester and Scott (Melissa) Bickford; his 5 grandchildren:  Kaci, Spencer, Autumn, Sage, and Olivia; his brother Arnold (Marlene) Bickford; his sister Darlene (Ray) Remnant; loving brother-in-law of Nancy & Mike Rummell; and many nieces and nephews.  Larry was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Yvonne (Bill) Greenwood.
In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place. A Memorial service will be held at 4:00 PM on Saturday, July 9, 2011 at Pia's Restaurant, 21142 Ecorse Rd., Taylor, MI 48180. Rev. G. Richard Danielak officiating with a lunch to follow.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the wishes of the family.
