Kenneth Costine

Kenneth Martin Costine, age 73 of Luzerne, MI, passed away peacefully, Tuesday, February 5, 2013 at his home, surrounded by his family.
Kenneth was born on July 17, 1939 in Sandusky, Michigan to Robert C. and Lila S. (Woodard) Costine.  He grew up in Detroit, MI and graduated from Wilbur Wright High School.  He married Janice on October 28, 1961 in Warren, MI at Ascension Parish.  Kenneth worked at the General Motors Tech Center and at General Magnetic in Detroit, then at Modine in Detroit.  He transferred to their plant in Dallas, TX .  He and Janice moved there on July 17, 1977, where he worked until retiring in 2007.  Kenneth and Janice celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary in 2011.  The couple retired to Luzerne, MI on July 24, 2012.  Kenneth had enjoyed riding snowmobiles and motorcycles, hunting, and puttering in the garage.
Surviving are his wife Janice A. Costine of Luzerne, MI; his son John Martin (Elisa) Costine of Conifer, CO; his sister Carol (Ken) Rourke; his brothers: Keith (Alice) Costine and Robert (Barbara) Costine;  grandchildren:  Chelcy (Ben) Harrell and Gabrielle Castro; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.  He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Harold Costine.
In accordance with Kennethâ??s wishes, cremation has taken place.  A Memorial Mass will be held at a later date in Sandusky, MI with interment of ashes in Peck, MI.  Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Michigan, 1723 W. M-32, Suite B, Gaylord, MI 49735.
