Kaye Donald Gardner, age 78 of Mio, Michigan, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, April 12, 2017.

Kaye was born in Saginaw, Michigan on November 23, 1938 to Cade and Eileen (Coleman) Gardner. He retired from Peerless Gage as a Tool and Die Maker, and permanently retired to Mio in 2002 to his grandparents’ former home. Kaye was a member of the Mio Moose Lodge #1035 and the Sons of the American Legion of Luzerne.

Kaye is survived by his wife Beverly J. Gardner; his mother Eileen Gardner (who is 102 years old); his daughter Susan Gardner of Clinton Twp., MI; his granddaughter Jill Rennie of Clinton Twp., MI; his sister Pam Meland of Grayling, MI; his brother Richard Gardner of Taylor, MI; and also several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and close friends and neighbors.  He was preceded in death by his father Kade Gardner and his daughter Lori Gardner.

In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, April 22, 2017, at 12 Noon at the Mio Moose Lodge.

Memorial donations may be made to Mio Loyal Order of Moose #1035, Mio, Michigan in memory of Kaye Gardner.
