Kayann Anderson

UPDATE: A Memorial Service is scheduled for Saturday, August 15, 2020 at 3:00 PM at The Mio AuSable School-Baseball Field, with lunch following, please bring your own lawn chair. In the event of inclement weather, the Memorial and Lunch will be held at The Tripoint Church of God.

KayAnn Anderson of Mio, Michigan, passed away unexpectedly at her home on Tuesday, August 4, 2020 at the age of 53.

Kay was born to Diane and Robert on October 10, 1966 in Livonia, Michigan. She grew up in Westland and graduated from John Glenn High School. Kay went on to attend Central Michigan University, earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Education. She taught English and Spanish at Mio AuSable School for 28 years before retiring in 2017. Kay enjoyed camping, travel, collecting her purple glass, gardening, antiquing, and taking The Spanish Club on trips to Mexico and Costa Rica. Kay’s greatest achievement in life was giving birth to and raising her son Garrett AKA Gare Bear.

In addition to her son Garrett (Kylie), Kay is survived by her mom Diane (Jack) Loy, her dad Robert Truesdell, her brother Greg (Carol) Truesdell, her nephew Anthony, her niece Jessica, and her step-children Rob and Jeffrey Anderson.
