Kay Green

Mrs. Kay Y. Green, age 72, of Mio passed away Monday, April 18th, 2011 at her home.
Kay was born in Flint, Michigan on November 22, 1938, the daughter of LaVerne and Willa ""Billie Bess"" (Paulsgrove) Smith.
She was as a home maker, wife and mother who enjoyed long walks and bird watching.
Surviving are her husband Edward J. Green, daughter Rebekah (Carl) Shehorn of Burton, MI, son John (Lori) Green of Howell, MI; grandchildren: Shawn (Tim) McNiel, Carl Shehorn III, Christina Shehorn,  Kim Green and Katie Green; great grandchildren: Gabriel McNiel, Hannah McNiel and Carl Shehorn IV; aunts: Joyce Stephens, Pauline Paulsgrove and Beth Roedel.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Bob Smith.
Visitation  1-4 and 6-9 PM on Wednesday, April 20, 2011 at The Lashley Funeral Home, Mio. Funeral Service 1:00 PM on Thursday, April 21, 2011 also at the funeral home with Chaplain Brandon Rodgers of Mercy Hospice officiating. In accordance with Kay's wishes, cremation will follow the funeral service.
