Mrs. Kathryn J. Twin-Porter, age 96, of Fairview, passed away Sunday, May 1, 2011 at the Home at AuSable Valley Community.
Kathryn was born in Winnebago, Nebraska on August 3, 1914 to Edward and Mabel Hatchett.  She was the second of five daughters.  Kathryn married Jasper Twin in 1936.  They lived in Southfield, Michigan until they retired.  Upon their retirement, they moved to Mio.  After Jasper's passing, Kathryn met and married Floyd Porter.
Kathryn is preceded in death by her husbands:  Jasper Twin and Floyd Porter; her grandson Timothy Allen; and her sisters:  Wilma Lewis and Maxine Tasso.
Those left behind to treasure Kathryn's love and life are her daughters:  Kathleen (Steve) Avery and Candace Alexander; her grandson Michael (Joan) Allen; her great grandsons Vincent and Wilson; her sisters Alice June Mullen and Winifred Walker; her nieces and nephews; and many dear friends in Southfield, Mio, and Fairview.
Visitation Friday, May 6, 2011 from 2-8 PM at Lashley Funeral Home, 318 Pearl Street, Mio, Michigan.  Funeral Service Saturday, May 7, 2011 at 2:00 PM at Lashley Funeral Home with Pastor Russell Bowman officiating.  Interment immediately following at Mentor Township Cemetery, Mio, Michigan.
