Kathleen Joy Kann

Kathleen J. "Kathy" Kann, age 70 of Mio, Michigan, passed away at her home on Sunday, May 9, 2021.

Kathy was born in Detroit, Michigan on August 31, 1950 and moved to Mio at an early age and made her home here. Kathy courageously battled with Multiple Sclerosis for at least 12 years before eventually succumbing to the disease. Her family is grieving this tremendous loss as Kathy was the foundation of the family, showing a motherly care and tenderness to all she came into contact with. However, they take comfort in knowing that she is now healed at home with her Savior. Kathy loved Mickey Mouse and Disney World; and greatly loved her kids, grandbabies, and great-grandbabies.

Kathy is survived by her husband Thomas D. Kann; her children: Lynette Sposato, Gary Kann (Dawn Kann), and Brandy Wright (Matthew Wright); her grandchildren: Jaren Sposato, Taylor Kann (Tasha Kann), Sydni Kann, Lainey Kann, Mylee Kann, Garrison Kann, Thomye Lashley (Andrew Lashley), Kaden Wright, and Kaleb Wright; and her great-grandchildren: Sophia Lashley, Emily Lashley, Ryan Lashley, Natalie Lashley, and Deklan Kann. She was preceded in death by her grandmother Mabel Franks, her mother Beverly Smith, her brother Wayne Hendricks, and her brother Thomas Smith.

In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life may be held at a later date.
