Kathleen Marie Brazelton

Kathleen M. Brazelton, age 78 of Rose City, Michigan, passed away at her home on Friday, May 2, 2025.
Kathleen was born in Detroit, Michigan to Janet Diebold and Martin Henison on March 21, 1947. She went to school in Inkster, Michigan. Kathleen later married Donie Brazelton on February 25, 1978. The couple lived in Westland, Michigan where they had 2 children: John and Leasa. Kathleen and Donie moved to Lupton, Michigan and lived on a small farm. They lost that home to a fire and moved to Rose City, Michigan where Kathleen lived out the rest of her life. Kathleen loved spending time with her family and her grandchildren. She loved shopping for them all! She loved to crochet and craft, loved to garden and plant flowers, and loved her animals.
Kathleen is survived by her husband Donie T. Brazelton; her children: John Brazelton and Leasa Benefiel; and her grandchildren: Joshua, Conner, Alexander, David, Matthew, Elijah, & Lillian Benefiel; and Hunter, Anastasia, & Zachary Brazelton. She was preceded in death by her mother Janet Bostedor, her father Martin Henison, her 2 brothers: Bill Kolberg and Martin Henison, and her niece Tina Jones.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 7, 2025 from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM at the Mio Baptist Church, Mio, Michigan with Funeral Services at 1:00 PM, officiated by Rev. Glynn McMorris. A luncheon will follow at the church. In accordance with Kathleen's wishes, cremation will take place after the services. Interment of ashes will take place at a later date at Mentor Township Cemetery, Mio, Michigan.
