Karen Breaugh

Mrs. Karen J. Breaugh, age 70, of Mio, passed away Monday, January 24, 2011 at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City, Michigan.
Karen was born on November 1, 1940 in Detroit, Michigan to Elwyn and Jeanne (Doelker) Jones.  She married Joe in Royal Oak, MI on September 3, 1960.  They moved to Mio in 1974 from Sterling Heights, MI.  Karen worked as a paraprofessional at Mio AuSable Schools for 23 years.  She was a member of the Mio AuSable P.T.O. and enjoyed golfing and bowling.
Surviving are her husband Joe Breaugh, Sr. of Mio; her children: Joe (Jeanette) Breaugh, Jr. of Mio; Mike (Vicky) Breaugh of Mio; and Lisa (Rick) Quinn of Mio; her brother Ken (Cheryl) Jones of New Port Richey, FL; her 6 grandchildren: Kelli, Kimmi, Tabitha, Morgan, Tyler, and Courtney; and many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents.
In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place.  No services are planned.  Interment of ashes at Mentor Township Cemetery, Mio, MI at a later date.
Because of her love for animals and concern for their well-being, Karen's family requests memorial donations be made to the Ogemaw County Humane Society, 1367 S M 33, West Branch, MI 48661
