June Eileen Neff (Winter), age 86, of Comins, Michigan passed away on Monday, September 26, 2016. June was born July 10, 1930 in Lewiston, Michigan to Clarence and Lelah (Klotz) Winter. She was a wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. After growing up in the Lewiston/Comins area, she married Frank Ralph Neff on April 17, 1949. They lived for several years in the Birch Run area. Throughout the years, she worked in various professions including retail sales, maintenance at the Birch Run Area Schools, and Buick. Following retirement, June and Frank moved back to Comins in the home they built together with their family. She belonged to the Kirtland Warbler Audubon Society, enjoyed playing cards with friends and family, and participating in other social activities. June is survived by sons Wesley (Mary) Neff of Canton, Don (Maureen) Neff of Vassar, and Richard Neff of Flint; daughter-in-law Nancy Morgan of Burt; brother Wayne (Eleanor) Winter of Williamston; her grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and many relatives and family friends. She was proceeded in death by her parents, husband Frank Neff, granddaughter Lori Neff, son Clarence Neff, and brother Jack Winter. The family will receive friends from 10am – 2pm on Saturday, October 1, 2016 at Lashley Funeral Home in Mio, Michigan. A memorial service to follow with Pastor Jeremy Peters officiating. Interment to follow at Clinton Township Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Kirtland Warbler Audubon Society.
