Julia Rose Holder

Julia R. Holder, age 88 of Mio, MI, passed away at The Home at Wellspring Lutheran Services in Fairview on Monday, September 28, 2015.
Julia was born in Emmett, Michigan on July 4, 1927 to Frank and Helen (Konyah) Dunsmore.  She worked for GM Hydromatic Plant in Ypsilanti, MI, retiring to Mio 40 years ago.  Julia was an active member of the Mio United Methodist Church and was also a member of both the Order of the Eastern Star, and the Rebekah Lodge of Mio.
Julia is survived by her siblings:  Elizabeth Semrow of Port Huron, MI; Franklin Dunsmore of Goodell, MI; Orena Meade of Marysville, MI; and Leon Dunsmore of Emmett, MI; and numerous nieces and nephews and grandnieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Norman; and her siblings:  Eleanor Dalbey, Marilyn Morgan, and Stewart Dunsmore.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 1, 2015 from 5:00 - 9:00 PM at the Lashley Funeral Home, Mio, Michigan, with an Order of the Eastern Star Service beginning at 7:00 PM; visitation again on Friday, October 2, 2015 from 1:00 PM until the time of Funeral Services at 2:00 PM, at Mio United Methodist Church, with Pastor Brenda Klacking officiating. Interment to follow at Luzerne Cemetery, Luzerne, MI.
Memorial donations may be made to the Mio United Methodist Church.
