Judith Scott

Judith Ann (Callens) Scott, age 72, of Mio, passed away Tuesday, June 19th, 2012 at her home.
Judith was born in Detroit, Michigan on May 29, 1940, the first child born to the late Andre and Dorothy (Gourlie) Callens.
She married Doyce Edward Scott on September 30, 1961, celebrating their 50th Wedding Anniversary in 2011, with their whole family attending.
Judith was a homemaker, loving wife and devoted mother, instilling in her children the values of respect, responsibility and how to treat others with respect, love and dignity. She enjoyed all of nature, whether it be watching birds and deer eat from the feeders, squirrels and other critters scampering around the yard, working in her garden or watching a good thunderstorm. She cherished her time with her family, sharing a beer (Busch), laughing, crying and telling stories. She was avid Detroit Tiger Fan and enjoyed watching her afternoon stories on TV.
Surviving are her dear husband Doyce; children: Christopher Vincent Scott; Pamela Ann Scott; Cynthia Lynn Scott/Hermanson; Gwen Jean Scott/Bilbey and Katherine Lee Scott/Fortner. Grandchildren: Jacob Tyler Scott; Cheyenne Stacy Scott; Caylin Cree Scott; Keith Allen Bilbey; Gaige Otto Hermanson; Jasmine Elsa Hermanson and Lyndsey Marie Mott. Sisters: Susan Marie Callens/Cencich; Therese Rita Callens/Davis and Pauline Jean Callens.
Judith was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Vincent DePaul Callens in 1961.
Visitation at The Lashley Funeral Home, Mio, MI on Friday, June 22, 2012 from 10:00 AM until the time of Funeral Services at 12:00 Noon with Pastor Hedy Alcock officiating with interment following at Luzerne Cemetery, Luzerne, MI.
