Joyce M. Hurtado

Joyce M. Hurtado, age 78, of Mio, MI, passed away Tuesday, August 27, 2019, at The Villa at Rose City.

Joyce was born in Otter Lake, Michigan on May 28, 1941, a daughter of the late Lena (Hanks) and Roy Burns. She graduated from Lakeview High School and married Charles Hurtado on Oct. 26, 1973 and she moved to Mio in 1985 from Flint. Joyce enjoyed gardening, crocheting, sewing, baking, BINGO, Poker, going to the casino and spending time with her grandchildren.

Surviving are her children: Kimberly (John) Belcher of Mio and Rosita Hurtado of Mio; grandchildren: Misty Coon (David Fritz) of Mio, Anthony (JeanAnn) Neeley of Montrose, MI, Kelly (Justin) McKnight of Montrose, Breana Perez, Hilary Perez and Hunter Perez all of Mio, Tim Cady, Taylor Cady and Zack Coon; great grandchildren: Pagge Coon, Keeley VanVliet, Baylie, J.J. and Novie McKnight and Ty and Lexy Neeley; sisters: Connie Farthing and Sheila Burns; brothers: Donald and Ronald Burns.

Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, husband Charles and children: Michael Coon and Tamara Coon.

Visitation Saturday, August 31, 2019 from 12:00 Noon until the time of Funeral Services at 3:00 PM at The Lashley Funeral Home, Mio, MI.

Interment at Mentor Township Cemetery Mio, to follow with a luncheon at The Mio New Hope Assmbly of God Church.
