Joseph Chester Gorski

Joseph C. Gorski, age 71 of Mio, Michigan, passed away at Munson Health Care-Grayling Hospital on Friday, January 6, 2017.
Joseph was born in Detroit, Michigan on January 20, 1945 to Chester and Jennie (Skrzeczkowski) Gorski. He served his country in the US Navy during the Vietnam War. He was a police reservist for the City of Detroit. He married Carol Lynn on November 2, 1977 in Hamtramck, Michigan. Joseph worked as a high-low driver for Dana Corp in Hamtramck Welform Electrodes in Warren, Michigan. The couple retired to Mio in 1992. Joseph was a life member of VFW Post 1776 in Detroit. He enjoyed Country and Blue Grass music, and tinkering in the garage.
Joseph is survived by his wife Carol Lynn Gorski of Mio, MI; his children: Joseph Gorski of Warren, MI; Jerry Gorski of Wyandotte, MI; Rhonda Marchese of Mio, MI; Anna Marie “Amy” (Sean) Sullivan of Mio, MI; and Carter Gorski of Mio, MI; his sister Karen (George) Kupski of Macomb, MI; his brother Ronald (Mary) Gorski of Clinton Township, MI; his grandchildren: Angel, DJ, Hialeah, Jerry, Destiny, Jason, Dominic, Alexis, and Kenny; and his great-grandson Austin.
Visitation Tuesday, January 10, 2017 from 1 – 4 PM at the Lashley Funeral Home, Mio, Michigan with Funeral Services at 4 PM with Pastor Richard Beaudre officiating. Interment will take place on Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, Michigan.
