Joseph M. Bontrager

Joseph M. Bontrager, age 95 of Mio, Michigan, passed away at his home on Wednesday, July 21, 2021.
Joseph was born in LaGrange, Indiana on April 4, 1926 to Mose D. and Lucy J. (Graber) Bontrager.
Joseph is survived by his daughters: Bertha (Joseph) Yoder and Wilma (John) Coblentz, Elnora Hochstetler; his sons: Vernon (Lizzie) Bontrager, Ernest (Lois) Bontrager, Marion (Clara) Bontrager, and Leonard (Barbara) Bontrager; his sisters: Mrs. John (Mary) Miller, Mrs. Samuel (Clara) Hochstetler, and Mrs. Roy (Wilma) Miller; 45 grandchildren, 101 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild. Joseph was preceded in death by his wife Mary Ann Bontrager; son-in-law Alva Hochstetler; 2 brothers: Dan Bontrager and John Bontrager; and 2 sisters: Mrs. Lester (Ida) Miller and Mrs. Owen (Katie) Yoder.
Visitation on Thursday, July 22, 2021 from 3 - 8 PM at the Marion Bontrager Residence, 287 N. Galbraith Rd., Mio, MI, and again on Friday, July 23, 2021 from 1 – 8 PM, also at the Marion Bontrager Residence. Funeral Services on Saturday, July 24, 2021 at 9:30 AM at the Marion Bontrager Residence with John Miller, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow at the Amish Kittle Cemetery, Mio, Michigan.
