Mr. Joseph Baka, age 87, of Mio, passed away Monday, December 15, 2008 at Tender Care of Alpena.
Cremation has taken place, and no services are planned.
Mr. Baka was born on April 28, 1921 in Moquah, Wisconsin to Andrew & Mary (Mesun) Baka. Joseph served his country in The U.S. Army during WWII. After his military service, he lived and worked in Taylor, Ml as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic, and settled in Mio in the 1970's. Joseph enjoyed fishing and outdoor sports.
Mr.Baka is survived by his children: Sandra Baka of Greer, SC; Richard Baka of Flint, Ml; and Debra Downing of Lewiston, Ml; 7 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
Memorial Donations may be made to Hospice of Michigan or the Alzheimer's Association.
