Johnnie Johnson, Sr

Johnnie Johnson, Sr., age 88, of Lewiston, MI, passed away Sunday, July 26, 2020, at his home.

Johnnie was born in Earling, West Virginia on October 9, 1931, a son of the late Osha Annie (Hodges) and Wayne Carlos Johnson.

Johnnie served in the U.S. Air Force in the Korean War. He married Madeline H. (Harvey) Johnson on Dec. 22, 1951 in Mt. Clemens, MI. He was a retired Tool and Die Maker and moved to Lewiston in 1995 from Mt. Clemens. Johnnie had enjoyed hunting and fishing and will be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather.

Surviving are his son Johnnie (Cynthia) Johnson, Jr. of Lewiston, grandsons: Johnnie Johnson, III and Jeffrey Wayne Johnson and 6 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, His wife Madeline, sisters: Pearl and Mildred and brothers: Arnold, Don and Jack.

Graveside Services will be held on Friday July 31, 2020 at 11:00 AM at The Mentor Township Cemetery, Mio; Mr. Frank Beek officiating with Military Honors following.
