John W. Winton, Jr.

John William Winton, Jr. passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, April 2, 2026, at the age of 69. John was born November 9, 1956 to John Sr. and Pauline Winton in West Branch, Michigan. He married Robin (Kauffman) on August 7, 1980 and together they had two children, Dustin Winton and Heidi (Anthony) Hyde. John was a proud grandpa of his two grandchildren, Axton and Hazely Hyde.

John attended Fairview Area Schools and later attended M-Tech in Gaylord for electrical. He worked nearly 50 years in the manufacturing industry. He worked at HB manufacturing in Lewiston and then another Star Cutter company, Kneeland Industry in Fairview. After attending M-Tech he went to work for Manis Tool in Harrisville until retiring. In his spare time he enjoyed woodworking and crafted many beautiful pieces, as well as building his own family’s home.

John is survived by his wife, Robin, and his children, Dustin and Heidi (Anthony), and grandchildren, Axton and Hazely. He was preceded in death by his father, John, and mother Pauline.

Cremation has taken place and no service is planned at this time.
