John "Jack" Ross

John H. "Jack" Ross, age 86, of Mio, MI, passed away Wednesday, December 31st, 2014, at Grayling Nursing & Rehabilitation Community in Grayling, MI.
John was born in Bay City, Michigan on October 4, 1928, a son of the late Julia (Wittbrodt) and John W Ross.He married Betty Jean LeFevre on December 31, 1946 in Bay City, MI, and the family moved to Denver, Colorado where John worked as a Baggage Handler for United Airlines. They moved back to Michigan, settling in Mio in 1971. John was a member of the Jehovah Witness faith, attending the Kingdom Hall in Mio and later in Grayling, MI. He was a woodworker, builder, and cabinet maker who always showed great pride and perfection in his work.
John is survived by his wife of 67 years, Betty; his children: Julie (Carl) Miteen and John Ross, both of Mio, MI; his sister Ruth Ross of Bay City, MI; his brother Jay Ross of Bay City, MI; two grandchildren: Winston (Danielle) Miteen and Tori (Dave) Stanton; two great-grandchildren: Kaeley & Brylee; and his dear friends: Lisa and Frank Burr, He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Art Ross.
In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place,A Memorial Service will be held at The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses 1636 Hartwick Pines Road Grayling Michigan on Saturday January 10th 2015 at 2:00 PM.
